To create a reference point for people living with IBD. It needed to be a trustworthy, easy-to-understand space that provided clear information without causing alarm, connected patients with specialists and helped people feel less alone.

We conceived MICIritrovo as a community before a communications project. The name combines the Italian acronym for the condition with the idea of coming together: with people sharing the same experience, with doctors and with oneself. The tone is positive and inclusive. The project is endorsed by AMICI Italia.

We created the MICIritrovo logo and visual identity: a recognisable, welcoming language designed to speak with a consistent voice across all channels, from the website and printed materials to Instagram.

The miciritrovo.it website explains IBD in simple terms and is organised into several sections:

• IBD: what it is and what living with it means
• Living better: everyday steps involving nutrition, physical activity and stress management
• Medical perspectives: specialist insights into talking to your doctor, symptoms, monitoring and treatments
• Stories from people living with IBD
• FAQs and a form for suggesting new topics

Practical, free, printable tools designed for day-to-day management:

• the Food Diary, to explore the relationship between food and symptoms
• the Medication Diary, to organise treatment
• the Medication Transport Form, for greater peace of mind when travelling

To bring the community to the places where patients look for it, we created flyers, display stands and other printed information materials for clinic and hospital waiting rooms. They connect the care journey with the website.

The MICIritrovo Instagram profile gives the community a voice through accounts from doctors and patients, practical tips and insights based on verified medical sources. Every post directs people to the website to learn more.
